Our person-centred care approach means that your loved one will be respected as an individual and treated with dignity at all times. Every resident is thoroughly assessed and our care team build on this information over time to create a person-centred care plan that has all the specific information relating to the health and welfare of your loved one.
Our Homes each have a dedicated activity co-ordinator who organises activities, such as arts and crafts, gardening, reminiscence therapy, exercise to music, and one-to-one involvement. We encourage residents to carry out small tasks throughout the day, such as helping to lay the table or watering the plants, which helps retain their self-esteem and involvement in daily life.
Our carers take the time to learn each resident’s life history, with the help of your support. Understanding the reasons behind an action can help us overcome our residents’ frustrations when they are unable to express what they want – a common problem with dementia.
